Powered by Refersion. Sign-up takes a couple of minutes and your links work immediately.

Note on the sign-up link: our affiliate portal is still hosted under our previous brand name, Craftybase. Stocksmith was previously Craftybase, so craftybase.refersion.com is the correct destination and tracking works exactly as expected.

Is this program right for you?

We are looking for people who genuinely help product businesses run better operations, not people who drop links.

A good fit

  • Bookkeepers and accountants with inventory-carrying clients who need real COGS, not an estimate
  • Operations consultants and fractional COOs putting systems into small manufacturers
  • Shopify and e-commerce consultants whose clients sell physical products across several channels
  • Inventory and ERP software reviewers comparing tools for businesses that manufacture
  • Industry educators teaching production in a specific vertical: cosmetics formulation, food and beverage, supplements, candle and soap making
  • Newsletters and communities for DTC product brands and small-batch manufacturing

You will do well here if you publish regularly for people who make and sell physical products, and you would rather earn on a customer who stays than on a one-off click.

Not a fit

  • You have no existing audience of product businesses. We cannot help you build one.
  • You run a coupon or deal site looking for quick commissions
  • You plan to rely on paid search. Bidding on our brand terms is an immediate ban.
  • You want passive income with no content behind it
  • You promote dozens of products with generic "click here to save" messaging

Why we care about fit: we would rather have ten affiliates earning real money from recommendations their audience trusts than a hundred earning pocket change from traffic that never converts.

How it works

Three steps, and nothing to wait on.

1

Sign up and get your link

Create a free Refersion account. You get your unique tracking link and a dashboard showing clicks, conversions and commission in real time.

2

Share it where it fits

Blog posts, video descriptions, newsletters, client recommendations, community answers. Talk about the actual problem: multi-level inventory, accurate cost per unit, production that does not run on a spreadsheet.

3

Earn on their first 12 months

You earn 20% of every payment your referral makes in their first 12 months, for as long as they stay subscribed.

What you would earn

20% of every payment, across the referral's first 12 months. Monthly subscribers pay twelve times in that window, annual subscribers once, so the twelve-month total is the same either way.

Plan Monthly price Your cut per month Total over 12 months
Pro $24/month $4.80 $57.60
Studio $49/month $9.80 $117.60
Indie $99/month $19.80 $237.60
Business $199/month $39.80 $477.60
Growth $349/month $69.80 $837.60

Annual subscribers pay for the year up front, so you earn 20% of that single payment: $48 on Pro, $98 on Studio, $198 on Indie, $398 on Business, $698 on Growth. Commission is earned while the subscription stays active. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Why promote Stocksmith

90-day attribution

Operations software is a considered purchase. If someone bookmarks your link and signs up two months later, the commission is still yours.

Real order values

Plans run from $240 to $3490 a year, so 20% is a number worth having rather than a rounding error.

Software that sticks

Once a business has its materials, BOMs and production history in one place, it stays. Retention is what makes the twelve-month window worth something.

An easy recommendation

14-day free trial, no credit card. Built specifically for businesses that manufacture, which is exactly the gap generic inventory tools leave open.

What actually works

Our best-performing affiliates have one thing in common, and it is not reach. They explain the problem before they name the tool.

  • Teach the operational problem first. A walkthrough of how a wrong BOM quietly distorts every pricing decision converts far better than a feature list.
  • Pick a vertical and go deep. "Inventory for cosmetics formulators" beats "inventory software" every time, because the person searching it already knows they have the problem.
  • Show the software doing the work. Recorded walkthroughs of a real setup, with real materials and a real production run, outperform written reviews.
  • Write things that keep working. The 90-day window and the twelve-month commission both reward evergreen content over launch-day spikes.

Getting paid

When and how

  • Schedule: paid via PayPal on the first Friday of each calendar month
  • Threshold: a $20 balance triggers payment
  • Commission base: 20% of the subscription price, excluding any discount and VAT where it applies
  • Tracking: real-time reporting in your Refersion dashboard

What happens after you sign up

  1. 1.You submit the application and get your link
  2. 2.You share it, and tracking starts on the first click
  3. 3.Your referral subscribes and commission starts accruing
  4. 4.Your balance reaches $20 and it goes out on the next first Friday

Payment terms are set in the Refersion program and govern in full. The affiliate agreement covers everything else.

Common questions

Anything else, email hello@stocksmith.io.

How much commission do I earn, and for how long?

20% of every payment your referral makes during their first 12 months as a subscriber. On a monthly plan that is twelve payments: Studio at $49/month earns you $9.80 twelve times, so $117.60. On an annual plan there is one payment in that window, so Studio at $490/year earns you $98. Commission is paid provided the referral stays subscribed.

When do I get paid?

Payouts go out via PayPal on the first Friday of each calendar month, once your balance has reached $20. You can watch the balance build in the Refersion dashboard.

How long does attribution last?

90 days. If someone clicks your link today and subscribes any time in the next 90 days, you get full credit. This matters more than it sounds: inventory software is rarely bought on the first visit.

Why does the sign-up link say craftybase.refersion.com?

Stocksmith was previously Craftybase, and our affiliate portal still carries the old name. It is the same program and the same account, tracking and payouts work normally, and we are rebranding the portal separately. Nothing about your commission depends on which name is on the door.

Do I need to be approved?

We review applications to make sure the site is a reasonable fit and does not fall foul of the restrictions in section 2.1 of the affiliate agreement. Most applications clear without any back and forth.

Do I have to be a Stocksmith customer to join?

No. You can promote Stocksmith without an account of your own. If you do run a product business, the 14-day free trial needs no credit card, and knowing the software firsthand makes for much better content.

Where can I share my link?

Anywhere you publish: blog posts, video descriptions, newsletters, podcast notes, social profiles, community answers, client recommendations. The one hard line is paid search on our brand terms, which is an immediate ban.

Are there other restrictions?

You may not bid on "Stocksmith", "Craftybase" or similar branded terms in paid search, place our offers on coupon or discount sites, use cookie-stuffing, parasiteware or deceptive pop-ups, send unsolicited email, or present yourself as Stocksmith or an official partner. The full list is in the affiliate agreement.

Can I recommend it to my bookkeeping or consulting clients?

Yes, and this is one of the strongest angles in the program. Bookkeepers, accountants and operations consultants working with inventory-carrying clients are recommending it into exactly the problem it solves.

What is Stocksmith?

Inventory, costing and manufacturing software for small-batch product businesses and small manufacturers. It tracks multi-level inventory across materials, components and finished products, keeps cost per unit accurate as material prices move, handles production and BOMs, and pulls multi-channel orders against one stock pool. See the features or read what customers say in our reviews.
